There’s no getting around the fact that optical illusions will always leave you puzzled and questioning your eyesight which captured in cameras . Everyone knows about the classic eye trick of a young lady turning into an old lady portrait or a set of geometric figures that appear to be of a different size than they really are. Optical illusions are pictures that differ from objective reality and can be grouped into three categories: optical, physiological, and cognitive – all with slight variations in optical illusion pictures. How, then, do they work?

Our brains seek to simplify matters by searching for the most straightforward explanation for an image. We initially associate an optical illusion drawing with the most basic concept of it, and only after a few seconds do we realize that certain aspects of it don’t even make sense. Optical illusion drawings don’t hurt your vision or brain—in fact, they assist in developing critical problem-solving skills. Surprise is what catches us in what are commonly known as ‘timed photos’: we initially see one thing, then it’s converted into something else. The human visual system is constantly processing incoming information from all sides, and it does so very quickly. This means that we can see things very quickly and accurately, but it also makes us vulnerable to seeing things that aren’t really there. It’s known as “the perceptual illusion effect,” and it’s because we’re constantly interpreting the world based on our own expectations. We see what we expect to see, hear what we expect to hear, and feel what we expect to feel. And because our brains are so good at perceiving things quickly and accurately, sometimes this can lead us to see things that aren’t actually there.
